The formal learning takes place within a series of intimate pods and surrounding gardens creating a gradient of learning environments between indoor and outdoors. Each pod functions as a self-contained classroom while connecting to the gardens via framed openings. Post school hours, these spaces transform into community gardens and gathering spaces connected through the public crossover as a means for dual programming.

The Labyrinth Library is not just a repository for books but a vibrant cultural hub. A continuous ramp spirals around the building’s exterior creating a dynamic journey that invites visitors to ascend gradually to the rooftop extending the garden vertically. The reading spaces orbit this central void in a ascending spiral, mimicking the external ramp’s trajectory where kids in the library find themselves in intimate spaces that maintain a constant visual connection to the open to sky central communal center. The architecture speaks of permanence and craft through its load-bearing brick pier construction.
